The Diploma Programme (DP) offered by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Organization involves all Grade 11 and 12 students at IPA. At the end-of-the-year DP Awards Night, outstanding students from those two grades are recognized and receive awards. For juniors, awards are presented for Leadership, Student Life, Hana Pono, and Academics. Another award that is specific to juniors is the Harvard Book Award. For seniors, the awards given are “career awards” and reflect the student’s entire effort over several years. Traditional awards such as Salutatorian and Valedictorian are announced at the DP Awards night as well as the school’s highest award for a senior – the Navigator Award. The 2015 DP Awards Night also recognized several seniors for scholarships or appointments.
