The Secondary Program is designed to support the needs of our students as they navigate adolescence and prepare for post-secondary study. Research-based, developmentally appropriate practice informs curricular decisions and facilitates emotional, social, and ethical growth in our learners. The Secondary Program encompasses the IB Middle Years Program (MYP), a rigorous and rich college-preparatory course of study serving students grades 6-10 and the IB Diploma Program, which serves grades 11-12.
The Middle Years program at Island Pacific Academy is a challenging framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world, the MYP is inclusive by design; students of all interests and academic abilities can benefit from their participation.
Students in the IB Middle Years Programme grade 6-10 experience a balanced curriculum which includes exposure to math, English, a second language, performing and visual arts, design technology, social studies, physical education and science.
