ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY said mahalo and a hui hou to Lawrence Kama on Monday, August 31 as he retired from the department of facilities after more than six years of service to the school.
Grade 4 students had a day of enhancing knowledge, lā hoʻonui ʻike, as part of their unit of inquiry on Hawaiian history and culture. The special event was an opportunity for students to connect theory to practice, and also provided the opportunity for Grade 4 families to join in the learning experience with their children. The result was a wonderful family evening of sharing, learning, community, and connection.
Grade 3 students put everything they’ve learned about Democracy, Presidents, and Media into practice and organized the Elementary student body to vote on a theme for a Spirit Week day.
IPA students competed in the 13th annual IPA Middle School Science Fair, with 24 of the top projects moving on to the HAIS District Science Fair on February 15, 2020.
