Finding ‘Ohana – Kea Peahu Shares Her Story with IPA Students
ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY middle school students had a special opportunity to reconnect with former classmate Kea Peahu, star of the new Netflix film Finding ʻOhana. She and the film’s director, Jude Weng, joined Grade 6-8 students, faculty, and special guests for a Zoom Q & A where they shared their insights and experiences in the film industry.

Lā Hoʻonui ʻIke and Hands-On Learning for Grade 4 Students
Grade 4 students had a day of enhancing knowledge, lā hoʻonui ʻike, as part of their unit of inquiry on Hawaiian history and culture. The special event was an opportunity for students to connect theory to practice, and also provided the opportunity for Grade 4 families to join in the learning experience with their children. The result was a wonderful family evening of sharing, learning, community, and connection.
