Making Memories

The graduation events may have been untraditional, but many hands worked together to create special memories for the Class of 2020 that will last a lifetime.

Drive-In Commencement Ceremony

On May 30, 2020, ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY held a special drive-in, family-only commencement ceremony on campus for the Class of 2020. Although a traditional ceremony was not possible due to the constraints caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was a memorable, unique, and heartfelt celebration of the Class of 2020.

A Special Message

Included in the virtual commencement was a special message of aloha for the Class of 2020 recorded by the faculty and staff of ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY.

Senior Banners

A celebration of banners adorned the campus fence along Wakea Street in honor of the ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY Class of 2020. Each student was honored with a beautiful banner. Several generous IPA families sponsored the banners as a gift to the seniors.

Grad Box Delivery

IPA teachers surprised the Class of 2020 seniors with drive-by deliveries of their special "Graduation Boxes” that included their cap and gown, lei, honor cords, award plaques, and a special envelope with directions that they “Do not open until May 31."

Quarantine Comfort Boxes

The Project Grad 2020 committee surprised the Class of 2020 with a special Quarantine Comfort Box. Each senior received the surprise package in the mail filled with goodies, a custom t-shirt, a Class of 2020 mask, a special poem, and a lot of love and support.
