On May 29, 2026, Island Pacific Academy welcomed golfers to Hawaiʻi Prince Golf Club for the 18th Annual IPA Golf Tournament — a day of spirited competition, community spirit, and generous giving in support of tuition aid and the school’s areas of greatest need. A special mahalo to presenting sponsor First Hawaiian Bank, whose generosity helped make this year’s event possible.
The course buzzed with excitement as golfers enjoyed a full day of play and a shot at a $50,000 cash hole-in-one prize. While no one claimed the big prize, the day was filled with its own rewards — not least the knowledge that every contribution supports greater access and opportunity for IPA students and families across West Oʻahu.
Golfers were treated to an impressive spread of local food and beverages throughout the course, with offerings from Domino’s Pizza (pizza lunch before the shotgun start), La Cocina de Abuelita, Kapakahi Grindz, Kenjiro’s Island Grill, Twisted Lumpia, Superb Sushi, Chef Chris Blanc, Island Poppers, PureFuel Alliance, Fizzy Fuel, Purely Patty, Scoop Scoops, and Fujioka’s Wine & Times. House of Photography captured team photos on the course, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace — a nonprofit dedicated to building beds for children in need — offered a keychain engraving activity and a chance for golfers to connect with their mission.
After play wrapped up, participants collected their grab-and-go bento dinners and headed to the prize board — a tournament tradition where every golfer’s name is listed alongside a prize they’ve won. No tickets, no drawing; just the simple satisfaction of knowing something good is waiting for you at the end of the round. This year’s Lucky Ticket Grand Prizes raised the stakes even further, with winners taking home a seven-day, six-night trip to Punta Cana, Jamaica, or Costa Rica courtesy of Request My Trip; a two-night oceanfront king stay with breakfast buffet for two at the Four Seasons Resort Oʻahu at Ko Olina; or a two-night stay at Hyatt Place/Hyatt House at Hoʻopili.
Congratulations to the top finishing teams: Uchiyama Erskine Architects took first place, HC&D claimed second, and presenting sponsor First Hawaiian Bank (Team #2) rounded out the top three. In honor of the 18th tournament, Sween Optometry was recognized for finishing in 18th place, while Pacific Pump & Power earned the distinction of highest score. All were celebrated with fabulous prizes for their efforts.
“Eighteen years of this tournament is a testament to the incredible generosity of our community,” said Katherine Jones, Director of Advancement. “Every sponsor, vendor, and player who shows up is directly investing in our students — and that impact is felt far beyond a single day on the course.”
Island Pacific Academy extends its sincere mahalo to everyone who made the 18th Annual Golf Tournament a success — our generous sponsors, food and activity vendors, dedicated volunteers, and loyal players. Your generosity this year contributed nearly $55,000 toward tuition aid and the school’s greatest areas of need — a meaningful investment in the students and families at the heart of our mission. A full list of this year’s sponsors is below — please take a moment to recognize the businesses and individuals whose generosity made this day possible.
We look forward to seeing you on the course for the 19th Annual IPA Golf Tournament on April 9, 2027.
