Many companies offer a “gift match” or “matching gift” program to their employees who choose to donate to a non-profit; if your employer is a company that does this it is a powerful way to maximize your Annual Fund gift to Island Pacific Academy.
“Once you have decided on the amount of your gift to IPA’s Annual Fund, be sure to check at work to see if gift matching is offered,” says Bernadette Axelrod, Director of Advancment and Communications.”This is an easy way to double, sometimes even triple, your gift. A few companies will also do a gift match to a non-profit if you volunteer there.”
Most companies offering a gift match have a minimum donation (sometimes as low as $25) or a maximum (usually $1,000) that will qualify. “The paperwork to activate a gift match is usually very easy and sometimes can be done online. Just check with your employer or company human resources office to ask,” says Axelrod. The IPA Advancement Office can also look up your company and help you complete any needed forms for the match.
