IPA Robotics Students Present at AFCEA TechNet

Island Pacific Academy Navigator Robotics team members demonstrated their knowledge and skills in robotics at the 30th Annual Armed Forces Computer and Electronics Association (AFCEA) TechNet Asia-Pacific Conference at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on November 18, 2015. The AFCEA conference brought together military leaders and high tech corporations in order to showcase computer related products to help our military.

Island Pacific Academy and Maryknoll School were the key presenters in the STEM Innovation Showcase room which was sponsored by Booz Allen Hamilton. Nathan Okimoto (‘22) spoke to the guests about our VEX IQ program and how the program has grown over the past two years. Colton Okimoto (‘18) and Brian Lu (’19) presented information about their VEX robot as they explained the comprehensive engineering design process which it takes in order to create these incredible robots.

Our students’ enthusiasm and passion for robotics was truly evident to the attendees at the AFCEA conference. With their showmanship skills, especially  in sharing knowledge of the engineering design process, these students represented Island Pacific Academy well. Imua IPA!!
