On May 30, 2025, ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY welcomed golfers back to the beautiful Hawaiʻi Prince Golf Club for our 17th Annual Golf Tournament – a day of spirited competition, ono food, and generous giving in support of IPA’s mission. With the strong support of our community and generous sponsors, this year’s event raised over $83,000 in support of tuition aid and other areas of greatest need at IPA
Led by tournament co-chairs George Denise (IPA Parent ‘33) and Marised Gillette (IPA Parent ‘17 & ‘28), the event welcomed 152 golfers to enjoy a fun-filled day on the course. The course buzzed with excitement as golfers enjoyed four chances at a hole-in-one to win unforgettable prizes, including packages for two to The Masters or U.S. Open, or golf getaways to Bandon Dunes or Pebble Beach.
Golfers were treated to a wide array of delicious food and beverages throughout the course, with flavorful offerings from Domino’s Pizza, La Cocina de Abuelita, Jersey Mike’s, Fizzy Fuel, Kapakahi Grindz, Sumida Farm, Kanpai Sushi, everbowl, Kenjiro’s Island Grill, Lanikai Brewing, and Twisted Lumpia. Hydration was provided by our returning water sponsor, Blue Hawaiʻi Purified Water, keeping players refreshed all day long.
After play wrapped up, participants picked up a grab-and-go bento dinner and collected their prizes – every golfer went home with a prize, continuing one of the tournament’s most anticipated traditions. This year’s Lucky Ticket Grand Prizes – a Yeti hard cooler and a MiniMax Big Green Egg – added even more excitement to the tournament experience.
Congratulations to the top three teams, as well as the teams finishing in 17th place and last place. First place went to Blue Hawaiʻi Water, followed by Commercial Plumbing in second, and Uchiyama, Erskine Architects LLC in third. In honor of the 17th tournament, the team from Aoki Electric was recognized for finishing in 17th place, while The Waianae Store & Nanakuli Super earned the distinction of highest score. All were awarded fabulous prizes for their efforts.
ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY extends its sincere mahalo to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s tournament – from our dedicated sponsors and food vendors to our incredible volunteers and loyal players. Your support helps ensure access to quality education for IPA students and sustains the strength of our learning community.
We look forward to seeing you again next year at the 18th Annual IPA Golf Tournament on May 29, 2026!
