Island Pacific Academy (IPA) has announced the appointments of Charmaine Hauanio-Kuewa as Director of Advancement and Rhona Slingerland as Financial Controller.
Hauanio-Kuewa comes to IPA after many successful years in sales, fundraising, relationship building and project management. She will oversee all fundraising, annual giving, marketing and development of the Private K-12 College Preparatory School. Hauanio-Kuewa will officially start on Monday, April 4. She will serve as a member of the senior leadership team, working with the Head of School and the Board of Trustees to align the development goals with overall school initiatives and execute all fundraising activities.
Slingerland assumes significant responsibility for the school’s financial operations, including its Internal Audit, Accounting and Finance departments. Prior to this position, Slingerland has owned and operated a successful accounting business for 10 years, working with numerous businesses over the years. She will officially begin her position on Monday, May 2 where she will be actively involved in the implementation, management and oversight of the IPA’s financial systems and processes.
