IPA’s 19th Annual Lā Mei Celebration Adds a New Voice to a Beloved Tradition

On May 1, 2026, the IPA community gathered on the grass in aloha attire and fresh flower lei for the 19th annual Lā Mei Celebration. This year’s theme, Nā Mea ʻAi Hawaiʻi — the enriched foods and provisions of Hawaiʻi — honored what the ʻāina gives and what each generation passes forward. The afternoon brought all of that, and something new.
