IPA Seniors Create “Quarantine Art Club – Color with Teens in Quarantine”
Three ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY seniors saw a need in the community and rose to the challenge in a creative and meaningful way. With the entire state of Hawai’i staying at home in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, they were inspired to help others spend their time creatively, so they created the Quarantine Art Club – a website with free, original coloring pages they create for anyone to download and enjoy.
IPA Eighth Grader is First Girl to Play PAC-5 Baseball in School’s History
ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY eighth grader, Ella Taitingfong, is the first girl to play PAC-5 baseball in the history of the school. Her hard work, passion, and drive serve as inspiration and encouragement for all girls who want to play baseball and break through gender stereotypes.
IPA Swimmer Signs National Letter of Commitment
IPA senior Corbin Lofton ’20 is headed to UIndy in the Fall. The IPA swimmer, and 2020 ILH Champion in the 100 Butterfly, signed his National Letter of Commitment to the University of Indianapolis today in a special ceremony.
Ten IPA Students Advance to the State Science Fair
Ten IPA middle school scientists among the 25 ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY students who competed at the Hawaiʻi Association of Independent Schools District Science Fair at Hanalani Schools have advanced to the 2020 Hawaiʻi State Science & Engineering Fair.
Meet Sweetie Pi – IPA’s Therapy Dog
This is Sweetie Pi, ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY’s campus therapy dog. Every Thursday, she comes to campus and spends the day with the Secondary Student Support Counselor as part of a pilot project started last October. Sweetie helps students cope with stress and makes them feel comfortable and supported.
