Did you know you can support Island Pacific Academy’s Annual Fund when you shop for groceries at Foodland as part of the Give Aloha program during September? It’s easy and quick. Here’s how to do it:
- Go to a Foodland, Sack n Save, or Foodland Farms (Oahu, Big Island, Maui, and Kauai locations are participating) now through September 30.
- Present your Maika’i card to a cashier at any register.
- Tell the cashier you’d like to make a donation to Island Pacific Academy.
- Give IPA’s 5-digit Give Aloha code: 78436.

- You can decide how much to give* and the amount will be added to your total.
- Simply pay for your groceries with cash, check, credit or debit card and your donation will be paid too.
- Your receipt will display the amount given to the school. (Your donation is fully tax-deductible. Keep your receipt for tax records.)
Use your Maika’i card and give Island Pacific Academy’s code 78436 to the cashier to make a donation. A complete list of organizations you can support is provided in a pamphlet at the registers. The receipt above shows a $10.00 donation to IPA.
The school receives a weekly report during the Give Aloha Program that shows what day and time a donation was made in addition to the store location and amount.
A weekly report lets Island Pacific Academy see the amounts of donations as well as where and when they were made.
The donors names, however, are not included in these reports nor in the final checks IPA receives, so these funds are recognized as a group contribution by the school. If you would like to have the Advancement office note your donation as part of your Annual Fund contribution, please bring your cash register receipt displaying the transaction to the main office for verification.
*Each person can donate up to $249 to IPA through the Give Aloha program. Donations must be made while using a Maika’i Card. A matching fund of up to $300,000 from Foodland and the Western Union Foundation will be shared proportionately by all of the organizations in the Give Aloha program. Read complete details here.
