The Island Pacific Academy Athletics Department is excited to announce the opening of the Official IPA Apparel and Merchandise Store for Navigator Fans, Parents and Alumni. “With this new online booster store anyone who wants to show some IPA school spirit or Navigator pride has a place to go and get something they like,” says IPA Athletic Director, Mike Axelrod.
The Official Store has color, size, design, and custom features that make hundreds of options available.
“The IPA Official Store has t-shirts, long-sleeves, sweatshirts, hoodies, and dri-fit items. You can look for items in men, women, or kid sections and there are lots of color and wording options too,” says Axelrod. “There’s even a sports section where you can customize by sport…and some items even let you add your name! I think that’s going to be really popular with team parents.”
Selecting the SPORTS section allows customization by sports teams.
Those who order from the IPA site will appreciate that each sale is credited back to the school. “IPA will earn ‘Nike dollars’ that we can use to order athletic uniforms and team equipment,” explains Axelrod. “I attended a state-level athletics conference last summer and met the Nike sales representative to talk about uniforms. Our own school website had just been updated so when he mentioned the possibility of having a ‘spirit store’ link that would let people shop and help our athletics program, it was a no-brainer.”
Customization features will let Alumni and current students type in their graduation year on many designs.
Nike is just one of the many quality brands featured on the site. Other apparel items are provided by well-known brands like Impact, Bella, Anvil, J America, Port & Company, Lids, Gildan, Holloway, Augusta, Sport-Tek, and Badger Sportswear.
Items that have a “+MORE DESIGNS” notation allow the buyer to try different wording on the item or change the color of the shirt. A sample page from the Women section of the IPA Official Store.
“This online store let’s our families and fans order what they want, when they want,” says Gerald Teramae, Head of School. “With our own on-campus store, options are limited to what we have on hand as for size and color. Sometimes we have the dilemma of having too much of an item or run into storage issues just having that much stock on hand.”
“We hope to add more items like hats, water bottles, and other accessories to the online site in the future,” says Teramae. “For those items that don’t take up a lot of space, the school may order some tote bags or water bottles, for example, from the online store and we’d have those available to purchase on campus.”

Axelrod encourages everyone in the IPA community to visit and shop the IPA online store soon. “There’s a great sale going on right now and the company will be providing a discount code for our families as a way of saying ‘Welcome!’” Axelrod says,” We’ll share that code in emails and on our Facebook and Twitter sites. It’s never too early to start shopping for the holidays. Go Navigators!”
