ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY’s student athletes are off to a great start this season, with several athletic events held over the past two weekends. Congratulations to all the IPA Navigators and their coaches!
Volleyball
The Intermediate Girls volleyball team didn’t let the threat of Hurricane Lester get in the way of their romp of University Lab School. The Lady Navigators beat UH Lab School in straight sets (25-15, 25-7, and 25-16) at Klum Gym this past weekend. It was a great team effort by the Lady Navigators! Great work Coach Tommy and Coach Casey!
The Varsity Girls volleyball team also had a fantastic start in their season opener, beating Hawaii Mission Academy in 2 sets, 25-23 and 25-20, for the win. Congratulations to all the Lady Navigators on their outstanding performances!
Cross Country
ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY’s JV and Varsity cross-country teams, led by Coach Duke Ota and Assistant Coach Alyssa Kuffel, fielded 8 runners in the ʻIolani 2-Mile Fun Run held on Saturday, August 27 on the ʻIolani campus. For the 7th graders in JV, this was their very first event as Navigators and everyone had a great start!
Air Riflery
The IPA Varsity and JV Boys air rifle team put together two winning weekends, beating St. Louis in their first match last weekend, and sweeping St. Francis this past weekend. The Varsity Boys outperformed St. Francis 1006 to 983, and the JV Boys won out 926 to 829.
The JV Girls also had a great start, beating St. Francis 657 to 452.
The Navigator Air Riflery teams continue to impress with their dedication and skills!

Saturday, 9/10: Volleyball, Girls Intermediate. Double-header. IPA v. Assets School, 3:30 p.m. and IPA v. Hanalani at Hanalani, 5:00 p.m.
