Drama Brings IPA’s Student Community Together

“Our creative drama workshops are a great way to bring the elementary and secondary students together.  Everyone has fun and comes away from the experience having learned something new,” explains Brandi Dul, Head of the Visual and Theatre Arts Department.  In the next two weeks, IPA’s grade 9 and 10 students will be hosting Creative Drama workshops for the kindergarten, and grade 1-3 students.  The elementary students will be divided into 5 groups and they will move from station to station participating in Creative Drama Activities that the MYP students will be presenting.  The children will use their bodies and voices to learn to communicate and present themselves through drama activities.  Likewise, the presentations by the grade 9 and 10 students are a great opportunity for them to hone their leadership skills.
