Award Winning Banzai Program for IPA Students

Island Pacific Academy makes financial sense. But you already knew that!  Additionally, IPA’s Secondary Math department is teaching financial sense to its students, thanks to a partnership between Hickam Federal Credit Union and Banzai,  a national award-winning financial literacy program that teaches financial literacy to youths.  Banzai is an organization that seeks to create a generation of young people who understand their money and how to use it wisely.   IPA students will have their own accounts and they will work through assignments that are based on real life financial scenarios such as bill-paying, loans and interest charges.  The program is free for IPA because Hickam Federal Credit Union, one of numerous organizations in the State of Hawaii and across the nation, values the development of sound financial skills in youth.  As a service to its community, Hickam Federal Credit Union is making the curriculum available not only to IPA but to other local schools in West Oahu.  IPA is grateful for their contribution to our community and to our school
