Blue Zones Project Provides Tips for Managing Stress at “Coffee with the Principals”

Blue Zones Project Kapolei-’Ewa, ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY’s partners in health and wellness, joined IPA parents at Coffee with the Principals this week to talk about “Keeping Your Center in Changing Times.” Everyone left the discussion with much valuable information and many new tools to use in coping with the stress and challenges of this unprecedented year.

The topics of mental health and the COVID-19 vaccine were foremost on the minds of the student participants in Hawai’i Business Magazine’s CHANGE Event Series on Health and Wellness on Thursday, March 18, 2021, with students wondering about whether mental health during the pandemic has been prioritized as much as it should be, and how the vaccine will affect teenagers.
IPA Students Participate in CHANGE Event Series to Discuss Community & Economy

Seven ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY students had an opportunity to participate in Hawaiʻi Business Magazine’s CHANGE Event Series on February 25, 2021 and listen to community leaders and changemakers from across the islands discuss problems and solutions centered around six issues that make up the CHANGE framework put forth by the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation.
IPA Design Technology Students Help Community

This year, the Grade 6 students used the design thinking process to create useful and creative solutions that addressed real-world problems for several organizations in the local and international community, including Wahiawa Botanical Garden, the Australian National Park Service, and Puʻuhonua O Waiʻanae.
Aloha for Patients

It’s always good to spread aloha! That’s why IPA Elementary students showed their support for their community by creating cards and messages for the patients at some of our local hospitals who can’t receive patients because of COVID-19.
