IPA Senior’s Community Project Makes Kapolei Crosswalks Safer

When IPA senior Sebastian Banquil ‘23 saw a community safety hazard in his neighborhood, “Whenever you can, help!” immediately came to mind. That thought gave rise to his idea for his Eagle Scout and National Honor Society service projects to install safety flags at crosswalks along Kapolei Parkway.
IPA Freshmen Strengthen Core Values Through Philanthropy

ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY’s Bostyn Tsukamoto ‘26 and Jacqueline Arvman ‘26 have been selected to serve on Youth Service Hawaiʻi’s Youth Philanthropy Board. They will evaluate proposals and award grants to service-learning projects that have long-term impacts on communities.

ISLAND PACIFIC ACADEMY’s Grade 6 Design Tech students used design thinking to address important issues relating to social and environmental justice culminating in a class quilt they contributed to the international textile art project, “The Patchwork Healing Blanket: Piece-by-Piece and Country-by-Country.”
