Welcome Assembly and Community Meeting Rescheduled

Heavy Rains Postpone Events

The student Welcome Assembly commemorating the start of the 2015-2016 school year and the evening Community Meeting for parents, both originally planned for today, have been rescheduled for Monday, August 31.  “Because of the inclement weather and traffic situations throughout the island, we made the decision to postpone the events,” says Gerald Teramae, Head of School.

“News of the rescheduled day and time has been shared with our community using email, text and a recorded phone message using our communications program called Blackboard Connect,” says Bernadette Axelrod, Director of Advancement.  “Parents can follow us on Twitter or Facebook.  And, of course, our website should be a ‘first stop’ for the latest information about what is happening at Island Pacific Academy.”

The Welcome Assembly, to be held on the big field, will be one of the special times in the year that students from all grade levels K-12 are together at one event.   All parents are invited to attend evening Community Meetings held approximately quarterly throughout the school year.  Complimentary childcare is available during Community Meetings provided by Leeward YMCA.
